Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Process Safety Engineer to join their international team in a fully remote capacity. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and auditing process safety management systems across oil and gas facilities worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in process safety engineering, knowledge of PSM, SIS, and risk assessment methods, and strong remote collaboration skills to drive a strong safety culture globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in process safety engineering within oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of PSM and risk assessment methods.
• Familiarity with SIS and hazardous area classifications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
• Conduct PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA/What-If) studies.
• Perform SIL assessments and ensure design integrity.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes and actions.
• Deliver process safety training to staff.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP and regulations.
