Job summary

Meridian Wine Distribution is looking for an organised Export Controller to join our Operations team in the Western Cape. You will manage export orders from receipt to delivery, ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years in export administration, strong knowledge of DAFF, SAWIS and SARS requirements, and experience with ERP systems (Business Central preferred).

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
• Export qualification or export-related training is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in export administration/operations.
• Strong knowledge of export documentation and procedures.
• Understanding of DAFF processes, SAWIS and SARS regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems (Business Central advantageous).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Capture export orders accurately and within cut-off times on BC.
• Convert quotations to sales orders and manage confirmations.
• Handle export-related email enquiries and communications.
• Monitor customer accounts and escalate finance queries.
• Prepare pro-forma and commercial invoices and related documents.
• Coordinate DAFF notifications, SAWIS, SA SARS declarations.
• Follow up on PODs and address delivery exceptions.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Warehouse, Transport, and Finance to fulfill orders.
• Maintain accurate export records for audit and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with export regulations and company procedures.
