Job summary

Ignite in Umhlanga (Durban) is hiring a German-speaking customer support agent to handle order status, tracking, billing inquiries and product details. You will work from our on-site office with a 24/7 rotational schedule (5x8h shifts) and engage customers in German and English across email, phone, and web chat.

Ideal candidates show strong communication, empathy, and adaptability. Prior BPO/retail exposure is welcome, with paid training provided.

Qualifications

• Fluent German (minimum B2) with strong professional English.
• High school qualification (Matric or equivalent).
• Willingness to work a rotational schedule including overnights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Interact with shoppers via email, phone, and web chat in German and English.
• Assist with order tracking, returns, and delivery troubleshooting.
• Handle customer complaints using active listening and problem-solving.
• Maintain knowledge of product listings and platform terms.
• Log accurate interaction notes into the CRM system.
