Placements24 is seeking a Lead Geothermal Project Manager to spearhead geothermal developments in George, Western Cape. You will oversee exploration, feasibility, construction, commissioning and handover, driving on-site leadership and stakeholder coordination with government bodies, communities, and investors.

The role demands extensive on-site presence, strong leadership, and a track record in large-scale capital projects within renewable energy, particularly geothermal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Geological, Mechanical, or Civil) or related field required.
• Master's degree an advantage.
• 10+ years in project management with 5+ years in renewable energy, preferably geothermal.

Responsabilités

• Lead geothermal project lifecycle from exploration to handover.
• Develop and manage scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site selection for geothermal projects.
• Coordinate with government agencies, communities, contractors, and investors.
• Ensure environmental, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the project.
• Oversee procurement, tendering, and contract management.
• Mentor multidisciplinary project teams and manage risks.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on milestones.
