Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Lead Geothermal Technician to oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of geothermal heating and cooling systems in George, Western Cape. You will lead a team of technicians, ensuring safety and operational efficiency while delivering high-quality geothermal solutions for both commercial and residential properties.
The role requires extensive hands-on geothermal experience, a solid HVAC background, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of direct geothermal heating and cooling experience.
- Experience leading and supervising technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of geothermal technicians.
- Oversee installation of geothermal heat pump systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure safety, building codes, and company policies are followed.
- Manage inventory of parts and equipment.
- Read drawings, blueprints, and system schematics.
- Create detailed service reports for clients and management.
- Contribute to procedural improvements.
