Placements24, a reputable geotechnical and civil engineering consultancy, invites applications for a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join its Benoni team. The role supports Gauteng's urban development projects with site investigations and design advice.

You will manage investigations, analyze ground conditions, and provide recommendations for foundation design, slope stability and earthworks, while mentoring juniors and liaising with clients and contractors.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical specialization.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech Eng preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of geotechnical project management and site investigation.
• Experience in foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks.
• Proficiency with GeoStudio and Plaxis software.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Manage geotechnical investigations from proposal to final report.
• Plan, supervise site investigations including boreholes.
• Interpret geological data, borehole logs, and lab results.
• Perform analyses for shallow/deep foundations, slope stability, earthworks.
• Prepare detailed investigation reports and design recommendations.
• Engage with clients, contractors and design professionals on projects.
• Provide on-site supervision during construction.
• Ensure compliance with SA standards (SANS) and engineering best practices.
• Assist in proposals and fee quotations.
• Mentor junior geotechnical engineers and technicians.
