Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
• PrEng registration with ECSA.
• Minimum of 6 years of geotechnical investigation and design.
• Proficiency in Plaxis, GeoStudio, or similar.
• Experience with borehole logs and CPT data interpretation.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute geotechnical investigations, including site reconnaissance, drilling, and in-situ testing.
• Analyze soil and rock properties, perform slope stability analysis, and foundation design calculations.
• Develop detailed geotechnical reports with recommendations for foundation design, earthworks, and retaining structures.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, and construction teams to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Ensure all geotechnical designs comply with relevant South African National Standards (SANS) and industry best practices.
• Oversee site work during construction to monitor compliance with geotechnical recommendations.

About the Role
