Placements24 is assisting a reputable geotechnical and materials testing firm in recruiting a Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in Tembisa, Gauteng. The role focuses on planning and executing geotechnical investigations, analyzing soil properties, and delivering technical foundation recommendations.

You will work with project managers, site engineers, and clients, producing clear, data-driven geotechnical reports and supporting earthworks and foundation design throughout construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant geotechnical experience and design.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Plan, execute, and supervise subsurface investigations (boreholes, trial pits).
• Analyze soil and rock samples to determine properties and inform design.
• Perform geotechnical analyses for foundations, slopes, and retaining structures.
• Prepare detailed geotechnical reports with clear recommendations.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and clients to discuss findings.
