Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical specialization.
- Pr.Eng registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years in geotechnical investigations and design.
- Proficiency in Plaxis, GeoStudio, or similar software.
- Strong knowledge of soil/rock mechanics and foundation engineering.
- Experience with field investigations and lab testing.
Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise geotechnical investigations, including drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing.
- Analyze soil and rock mechanics data to determine engineering properties.
- Design foundations (shallow and deep), retaining walls, and earthworks based on site conditions.
- Assess and mitigate risks related to slope stability, settlement, and seismic activity.
- Prepare geotechnical investigation reports and provide technical recommendations.
- Collaborate with structural engineers and construction teams to implement designs.
