Placements24 is seeking a Geologist to join the exploration and development team in Centurion, Gauteng. You will interpret seismic data, build subsurface models, and evaluate hydrocarbon prospects while coordinating with engineers and geophysicists.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in Geology with at least five years of Oil & Gas experience and is proficient in Petrel, GeoGraphix, or Kingdom. Hybrid work arrangements are offered to support project delivery.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Geologist in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in geological interpretation and modeling software (Petrel, GeoGraphix, Kingdom).
• Strong understanding of seismic interpretation, well log analysis, and core description.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret geological and geophysical data, including seismic surveys, well logs, and core data.
• Develop and refine subsurface geological models to delineate hydrocarbon reservoirs.
• Assess the potential for new exploration opportunities and evaluate prospectivity.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Geologist to join their exploration and development team based in Centurion, Gauteng . This role is crucial for identifying and evaluating new hydrocarbon prospects, as well as supporting the ongoing development of existing assets. You will be responsible for the interpretation of geological data, including seismic, well logs, and core samples, to build subsurface models and assess resource potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology, with experience in using geological modeling software. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects within the Oil & Gas industry, working collaboratively with geophysicists, reservoir engineers, and other geoscientists.
