Paarl-based client seeks a dedicated General Manager to lead the business and management team. The role requires strong commercial, financial and operational acumen, with exceptional leadership, communication and negotiation skills to drive growth and profitability.

Reporting to shareholders, you will oversee multiple departments—Finance, HR, Production and Sales—shape strategy, optimise processes, build client and supplier relationships and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification required, a postgraduate qualification will be advantageous
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a business of similar nature, including experience in the packaging / printing / labelling industries

Responsabilités

• Determining strategic business objectives and goals
• Leading the management team including Finance, HR, Production, and Sales
• Development of management team members
• Managing all the customer front-end functions (Sales, Estimating, and CRM teams)
• Overseeing all commercial aspects of the business
• Developing and implementing strategies to expand the customer base and increase market share and profitability
• Coordinating between production and quality control to ensure consistent product quality and customer lead times
• Overseeing production planning and efficiency optimisation over various printing processes
• Handling contractual negotiations
• Overseeing procurement of raw materials
• Building new and maintaining existing customer and supplier relationships
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company procedures
• Establishing and driving sales objectives through forecasting and strategic planning.
