Our client, an established resort in Mpumalanga, seeks a strategic and dynamic General Manager to lead all facets of the business, from gaming and hotel management to food & beverage and conferencing services, ensuring the achievement of revenue and profitability targets aligned with the company’s vision.

Duties:

• Take full accountability for all operational functions within the resort, including gaming, hotel, F&B, conferencing, and support services.
• Develop, present, and execute the annual business plan encompassing budgets, forecasts, and profit-enhancement initiatives.
• Drive operational standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and excellence across all departments.
• Oversee property maintenance, hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation, implementing proactive capital expenditure and maintenance strategies.
• Ensure full compliance with legislative and regulatory standards, including Gaming Board requirements.
• Lead transformation efforts in line with B-BBEE objectives, establishing and managing related committees.
• Cultivate strong relationships with employees, guests, unions, shareholders, community leaders, and regulators.
• Embed core values such as respect, humility, integrity, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
• Maintain rigorous financial governance and cost control measures.
• Spearhead marketing, promotions, and entertainment initiatives aligned with business priorities and customer insights.
