Job summary

RMB Rand Merchant Bank in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced FX production support specialist to provide L1/L2 support across the FX eTrading stack, monitor pricing and trade flows, and coordinate incidents with Level 3 teams.

You will work with trading, eClient Services and technology stakeholders to improve observability, runbooks and resilience, supporting change and disaster recovery testing and ensuring smooth production operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Engineering/Finance or related field.
3-5 years' application or production-support experience, preferably within FX or financial markets tech.
Experience with incident, problem, change and release management across technical teams and vendors.
Experience supporting business-critical front-office or time-sensitive applications.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time L1/L2 technical and functional support for FX eTrading platforms and users.
Own incidents through diagnosis, restoration, escalation and closure, engaging Level 3 teams and vendors when required.
Monitor pricing, trade processing, interfaces and market-data; perform log analysis and transaction tracing.
Support platform releases, upgrades, testing, implementation and post-release validation.
Coordinate with network, infrastructure, database and vendor teams across incidents and changes.
