Job summary

FirstRand Bank Limited is seeking an experienced FX eTrading production support specialist to provide real-time L1/L2 technical and functional support across the FX stack. You will investigate pricing, trade flows and incidents, coordinating with diverse technologists and vendors to minimize disruption.

The role demands hands-on platform monitoring, log analysis, and collaboration with front-office users and trading desks to ensure high availability and accurate market data across FX products.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' application or production-support experience, preferably within FX, electronic trading or financial-markets technology.
• Experience supporting business-critical applications in a front-office or time-sensitive environment.
• Experience with incident, problem, change and release management across technical teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated L2 production support across the FX eTrading stack.
• Act as a primary support point for the wider connected FX stack.
• Investigate pricing, execution, booking, trade-flow, credit-limit, connectivity and market-data issues.
• Own incidents through diagnosis, restoration and closure, escalating to Level 3 when required.
• Monitor platform health, pricing, trade processing, interfaces, FIX connectivity and downstream flows.
• Coordinate with network, infrastructure, database, cybersecurity and vendor teams across multi-layer incidents and changes.
• Reduce repeat incidents through root cause analysis, permanent fixes, automation and observability.
