Placements24 is seeking a fundraising specialist to drive remote donor acquisition and multi-channel campaigns supporting Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on developing strategies, cultivating donors, and managing grants and events to meet targets.

You will collaborate with marketing, maintain donor databases, and produce persuasive proposals for major gifts and grants while working effectively from a remote setup.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Fundraising Specialist to drive critical funding initiatives remotely, supporting our work in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal . This role is essential for securing the resources needed to sustain and expand our charitable programs. You will be responsible for developing and executing diverse fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and managing campaigns to meet our financial targets. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies , including major gifts, grants, corporate partnerships, and online campaigns.

• Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns, both virtual and in-person when appropriate.


• Manage donor databases and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.


• Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging fundraising communications.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fundraising , development, or sales, with a track record of success in achieving targets.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive appeals.


• Strong understanding of various fundraising methodologies and donor cultivation techniques.


• Experience with donor management software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) is highly desirable.


• Ability to work independently and manage a remote workload effectively.


• A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
