Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Fundraising Manager for a Durban-based charity. The role focuses on developing and executing fundraising strategies to support programs across KwaZulu-Natal.

You will cultivate major donors, manage campaigns, and lead a team to meet ambitious revenue targets. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in fundraising, strong grant writing skills, and a track record of securing diverse revenue streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Business Administration, Communications).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive fundraising and development experience, preferably in non-profit.
• Proven success in achieving fundraising goals and managing diverse revenue streams.
• Strong donor cultivation and grant writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement diverse fundraising strategies across individual giving, corporate partnerships, grants and events.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors.
• Plan, organize and execute fundraising events to maximize revenue and donor engagement.
• Prepare compelling grant proposals and reports for foundations and institutional funders.
• Oversee the donor database and ensure accurate record-keeping and timely acknowledgements.
• Lead and motivate the fundraising team, setting clear goals and performance expectations.
