Placements24 is seeking a Fundraising Manager for a Cape Town-based, dynamic non-profit focused on environmental conservation. This is a fully remote role enabling you to work from anywhere while driving fundraising initiatives across South Africa.

You will develop and execute strategies, cultivate donor relations, write grants, and oversee events, budgeting, and reporting. The ideal candidate has proven success in major gifts and grants and strong communication and CRM experience.

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic non-profit organization focused on environmental conservation in Cape Town , is seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraising Manager to lead its development efforts. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere while driving critical fundraising initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic fundraising plans, cultivating donor relationships, and securing the financial resources needed to support our client's crucial conservation projects across South Africa . The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, an excellent communicator, and possesses a proven track record in non-profit fundraising.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive annual fundraising strategy, including major gifts, grants, corporate sponsorships, and online campaigns.


• Cultivate and manage relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners, ensuring effective stewardship.


• Write compelling grant proposals and funding applications, clearly articulating the organization's mission and impact.


• Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns, both virtual and in-person (where applicable).


• Manage the fundraising budget, track progress towards financial goals, and provide regular reports to senior leadership.


• Utilize CRM software to maintain accurate donor records and track fundraising activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in non-profit fundraising, with a strong understanding of various fundraising methods.


• Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and grants from diverse funding sources.


• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and donor communications.


• Proficiency in using fundraising CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) and other relevant technologies.


• Strong strategic planning, analytical, and project management capabilities.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment, demonstrating self-discipline and initiative.
