Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Solar Energy Project Developer to join a fully remote team. This role will identify, evaluate, and secure solar opportunities across regions, conduct site assessments, and drive development from feasibility to financial close.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders, analyze market feasibility, and manage project timelines and budgets for utility-scale and commercial solar installations, contributing to a sustainable energy future from anywhere

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of renewable energy project development experience, with solar focus.
• Strong knowledge of solar technology, project finance, and power markets.
• Proven experience in site acquisition, permitting, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent remote communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple development projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential sites for solar projects, considering resources and grid interconnection.
• Conduct feasibility studies, including market analysis, regulatory assessment, and financial modeling.
• Engage with landowners, community stakeholders, and local authorities to secure project rights and permits.
• Develop project proposals, business cases, and preliminary designs for solar installations.
• Negotiate key project agreements, such as PPAs and land leases.
• Collaborate with EPC partners throughout the development lifecycle.
• Manage project timelines and budgets from concept to financial close.
