Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Solar Project Developer to join a fully remote team and drive the growth of a diverse solar portfolio. You will identify, evaluate, and secure new project opportunities across regions, steering the development lifecycle from site assessment to permits and financing.

This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker with deep knowledge of solar technology, grid interconnection, and energy markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, environmental science, or related field.
• 5+ years of solar project development experience.
• Experience in site assessment, feasibility studies, permitting, and PPA negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of solar technology and grid interconnection processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess potential sites for solar power projects, considering land availability, grid connection, and local regulations.
• Conduct detailed feasibility studies, including energy yield assessments, preliminary designs, and financial viability analysis.
• Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, local authorities, and stakeholders to facilitate project progression.
• Manage the permitting and entitlement process, ensuring compliance with environmental and zoning requirements.
• Collaborate with EPC teams to align development with execution capabilities.
• Secure PPAs and other project financing arrangements.
