Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Cybersecurity Specialist to join its security operations team. You will monitor alerts, investigate incidents, and implement proactive defenses in a fully remote environment.

You will work with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanners across cloud and on-premises environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential.

Certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or CEH are a plus; experience securing remote workforces is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in a cybersecurity role, esp. threat detection and incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanners.
• Strong knowledge of network security, cloud security, and endpoint security.
• Certs such as Security+, CySA+, CEH are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and analyze logs in real-time.
• Investigate security incidents and document findings.
• Implement and maintain security controls across platforms.
• Develop and refine security policies for remote workforce.
• Stay current with threats, vulnerabilities, mitigation techniques.
• Collaborate with IT and development to embed security.
