Job summary

West Coast Personnel is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Stellenbosch to coordinate shipments, manage stock and ensure accurate documentation and timely deliveries. You will work within an established team focusing on fruit export operations and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in fruit export, a logistics-related degree, and strong skills in Excel and Outlook to manage schedules and communications effectively.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in the fruit export industry.
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Proficiency in QX, Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Sound knowledge of export shipping, stock control and documentation.
• Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Loading Coordination: Allocate stock and prepare loading instructions within timelines.
• Logistics & Solutions: Arrange transport, track shipments and resolve disruptions.
• Forecasting & Planning: Prepare forecasts and align bookings with customer requirements.
• Stock Management: Maintain stock records, resolve discrepancies and monitor age.
• Cold Store Operations & Compliance: Coordinate inspections, labeling and pallet prep.
• Freight Forwarding & Shipping Administration: Secure vessel bookings and manage shipping docs.
• General Administrative & Operational Support: Support trading team and maintain records.
