Job summary

EnableSA in Port Elizabeth is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join their citrus/agriculture team in early 2027. You will act as the link between logistics, packhouses and cold store facilities to ensure efficient operations and timely documentation.

Key duties include coordinating with third-party logistics, monitoring vessel ETD/ETA, and updating stakeholders on shipment progress while assisting the Commercial team and ensuring costings are reviewed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years shipping experience, citrus industry preferred.
• Strong Excel skills: pivot tables, formulas, data analysis.
• Understanding of costings and export processes beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between logistics, packhouses and cold store to ensure efficient operations.
• Coordinate with 3rd-party logistics and documents team for timely info and documents.
• Handle issues during loadout allocations.
• Translate stock allocations into loading instructions for logistics team.
• Liaise with suppliers, forwarders and agents for shipment information.
• Monitor vessel ETD/ATD/ETA/ATA and weekly execution status.
• Keep customers and Commercial team informed on shipment progress.
• Assist Commercial team across origins and admin processes.
• Review and sign off logistics costs across export chain.

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator - Citrus / Agriculture to join their Port Elizabeth team in early 2027

• Act as the link betweenLogistics, packhouses and cold store facilities to ensure an efficientoperational service
• Liaise with the 3rd-partylogistics and documents team, ensuring all information and documents arereceived within the designated time frame
• Deal with operational issuesthat arise during loadout allocations
• Formalisestock allocations into loading instructions and communicate them to thelogistics team
• Liaisebetween suppliers, forwarders and agents to obtain up-to-date shipmentinformation
• Monitorvessel ETD, ATD, ETA and ATA, and follow up each week on whether the previousweek’s shipment plan was executed
• Ensurecustomers and the Commercial team are fully informed of shipment progress
• Providesupport to the Commercial team based in different origins
• Assist withthe smooth operation and communication of administrative processes with otherstakeholders

Requirements

• Highlyproficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, data analysis,formulas)
• Understandingof costings and basic logistical procedures will be advantageous
• Exportknowledge will be advantageous
• Stockmanagement experience will be advantageous
