Job summary

TP Group is seeking a customer service-oriented professional to join our call centre team in Cape Town. You will handle inbound calls and emails from existing and potential business customers, ensuring adherence to data protection rules and delivering quality service aligned with regulatory standards.

You will process payments, manage account updates, and provide transactional data while maintaining accurate customer records.

Qualifications

• Matric/Equivalent educational background.
• 6–12 months call centre/telephone sales experience.
• Experience in FCA regulated environments is advantageous.
• Experience in banking/insurance financial industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming phone calls and emails from existing and potential business customers on queries.
• Ensure adherence to the DPA requirements within the CS environment.
• Provide effective complaint handling and offer appropriate solutions.
• Process customer payments and provide transactional data when requested.
• Process replacement card requests and lost/stolen reporting including fraud prevention actions.
• Update customer records on request and ensure accuracy of data across systems.
• Process cash advance requests and activate accounts following scripts to ensure proper opening.
• Close customer accounts on request and provide accurate guidance on interest calculations.
• Offer advice on accounts in collections states and document payment promises.
• Process credit balance refunds and set up Direct Debits as required.
• Raise disputes to the fraud department per procedures and handle online enquiries.
