Job summary

Teleperformance in Cape Town is seeking a Customer Service Representative to handle incoming calls and emails from existing and potential business customers in a regulated financial environment.

Your role includes processing payments, updating records, resolving queries in line with client guidelines, and contributing to fraud prevention through accurate record-keeping and activation/deactivation of accounts.

Qualifications

• Matric/Equivalent.
• 6–12 months call centre or telephone sales experience.
• Experience in FCA regulated environment – advantageous.
• Experience in banking/Insurance Financial industries – advantageous.
• Customer focused and target driven.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming phone calls and emails from existing and potential business customers.
• Ensure adherence to the DPA requirements within the CS environment.
• Complaint handling skills ensuring appropriate solutions are offered.
• Processing customer payments and direct debits.
• Providing transactional data and updating customer records to minimize fraud risk.
• Activating and closing accounts and providing activation scripting guidance.
• Raising disputes through to the fraud department as per the agreed processes.
