Job summary

Boardroom Appointments in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Logistics Dispatcher to manage daily shipment tracking and liaise with hauliers and border offices. The role ensures timely updates on vehicle positions and potential delays for clients.

You will monitor truck stand times, escalate issues to the Route Controller and Project Supervisor, and undertake additional duties to maintain a professional, client‑facing image and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Experience in road freight is advantageous.
Microsoft Excel knowledge required at intermediate to high level.

Responsibilities

Ensure all clients receive daily tracking of all their shipments.
Correspond with all hauliers on the position of the vehicle.
Correspond with Border Offices and keep the company updated on delays and potential problems.
Monitor days trucks stand at each point and query with transporter.
Ensure every pre alert sent is on the tracking report.
Ensure every vehicle on haulier tracking is on the tracking report.
Bring delays to the attention of the Route Controller & Project supervisor.
Handle additional delegated tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.
Ensure clients are serviced to generate more business.
Maintain a professional and friendly image to all clients.
Understand and comply with the Rules and Regulations of statutory bodies.
Adhere to company principals.
