You will assist the Logistics Manager in planning daily dispatch routes, managing invoicing flow, and documenting routes and orders accurately during loading. This role emphasizes quality checks and strict hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain workflow by motivating drivers and vehicle loading assistants to work efficiently and correctly
• Check attendance of drivers and vehicle loading assistants; report absentees promptly to the Logistics Manager
• Ensure all drivers, vehicle loading assistants, and yourself wear clean, undamaged protective clothing as per company policy
• Assist the Logistics Manager in planning daily dispatch routes and loading activities
• Source completed invoices from invoicing personnel
• Ensure all routes are documented on the trip sheet allocated to each delivery route
• Ensure all individual orders are marked off on the correct invoice copy during loading
• Ensure that drivers and vehicle loading assistants follow your instructions and perform duties as per their job descriptions
• Coordinate and control the loading of final orders
• Check products for deviations from quality standards (e.g., labels, lot or batch numbers, and packaging) before loading
• Ensure all products are correctly weighed before loading
• Maintain good housekeeping practices in the dispatch area
• Implement and maintain measures to reduce wastage and damage to stock during loading
• Ensure that temperature controls in the dispatch area and for all products being loaded are adhered to
