Placements24 is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Freight Forwarder to manage international and domestic shipments. This remote role requires coordinating transport, handling documentation, and liaising with carriers and customs brokers.

You will work independently from East London or anywhere, supporting clients globally with timely, cost-efficient delivery and expert guidance on shipping regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in international logistics.
• Deep understanding of international shipping regulations and documentation.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient with freight forwarding software and common office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments remotely.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and manage the booking of shipments via air, sea, or land transport.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth transit.
• Track shipments and provide regular updates to clients regarding their status.
• Negotiate freight rates with carriers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Resolve issues or discrepancies that arise during the shipping process.

About the Role

Operating remotely, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods, managing documentation, liaising with customs brokers and carriers, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
