Job summary

GP Strategies Corporation in South Africa seeks an experienced freelance Digital Learning Developer for short-term engagements. You will build, test and maintain digital learning solutions across platforms, aligning with specifications and accessibility standards.

You’ll work with Instructional Designers and Media Designers to deliver engaging, learner-centered experiences, leveraging authoring tools like Storyline/Rise, and integrating multimedia content for web and mobile learners.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with authoring tools, especially Articulate Storyline and Rise.
• Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI and LMS deployment.
• Understanding WCAG 2.1 AA and inclusive design.
• Familiarity with multimedia integration and troubleshooting.
• Awareness of AI-assisted development tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital learning content using Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adapt and other platforms.
• Convert storyboards and designs into interactive learning experiences.
• Integrate multimedia assets (video, audio, animations, graphics).
• Create responsive learning experiences for desktop and mobile.
• Configure assessments, simulations and branching scenarios.
• Publish content to SCORM, AICC, xAPI or cmi5 as required.
• Ensure accessibility, quality and technical standards are met.
• Collaborate with instructional designers and media designers to resolve issues.
• Follow project processes and timelines; support content maintenance.
• Explore new technologies and AI-assisted workflows to improve delivery.
