Stellenbosch Hotel in Stellenbosch is seeking a Food Service Ambassador to deliver memorable dining experiences across room service, restaurant, and events. You will greet guests, seat them, take orders, upsell products, and help achieve sales targets while maintaining high service standards.

The role requires at least two years in hospitality, knowledge of food and wine, and the ability to work weekends and holidays; Micros experience is a plus.

Formación

• Minimum two years’ experience as a Food Service Ambassador (Waiter).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
• Knowledge of food & wine; basic barista skills advantageous.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as per roster.
• Micros experience required.

As a Food Service Ambassador, you will work in any food and beverage outlet such as room service, restaurant and conference and events. You will prepare the area for service, welcome and seat guests, serve guests from the start to the finish of their dining or conference experience whilst providing personalized guest experience, upselling products, and meeting targets.

Requirements

• Minimum two years’ experience as a Food Service Ambassador (Waiter)
• Previous employment within the hotel restaurant industry will be to your advantage
• Must be able to work shifts, weekends & public holidays as per roster
• Good knowledge of food & wine
• Basic barista skills will be to your advantage
• Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette
• Willing to help out where need
• Friendly personality and professional appearance
• Must be customer service orientated
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Micros experience will be required
• Must live the company values

• Communication – Verbal & Written. Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (an additional language would be an advantage)
