Job summary

Oude Werf Hotel Stellenbosch seeks a Food Service Ambassador for a fixed-term contract. You will work across outlets including room service, restaurant and events, preparing spaces, greeting guests, seating them, and delivering attentive service from start to finish.

The role includes upselling and achieving targets while maintaining the hotel’s standards and values in all interactions. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience as a Food Service Ambassador (Waiter).
• Must be able to work shifts, weekends & public holidays as per roster.
• Micros experience will be required.
• Must live the company values.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining area for service and set up outlets.
• Welcome, seat and assist guests from start to finish of their dining or conference experience.
• Serve guests and upsell products to meet targets.

As a Food Service Ambassador, you will work in any food and beverage outlet such as room service, restaurant and conference and events. You will prepare the area for service, welcome and seat guests, serve guests from the start to the finish of their dining or conference experience whilst providing personalized guest experience, upselling products, and meeting targets.

Requirements

• Minimum two years' experience as a Food Service Ambassador (Waiter)
• Previous employment within the hotel restaurant industry will be to your advantage
• Must be able to work shifts, weekends & public holidays as per roster
• Good knowledge of food & wine
• Basic barista skills will be to your advantage
• Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette
• Willing to help out where need
• Friendly personality and professional appearance
• Must be customer service orientated
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Micros experience will be required
• Must live the company values
