About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to lead their vibrant culinary and service operations in Tembisa . You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the food and beverage department, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, and room service, ensuring outstanding quality, guest satisfaction, and financial success. This pivotal role requires a creative individual with a deep understanding of culinary trends, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering memorable dining experiences. You will work closely with the culinary team and service staff to uphold the highest standards of service and product quality, contributing to the overall reputation of the establishment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day operations of the food and beverage department, including menu planning, inventory management, and quality control.
• Develop and execute innovative beverage and dining programs to attract and retain guests.
• Manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation, to ensure exceptional service standards.
• Control costs related to food, beverage, and labor, while maximizing revenue and profitability.
• Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene, safety, and sanitation in all food and beverage outlets.
• Collaborate with the executive chef and marketing teams to create special events and promotions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Manager or similar role in a high-volume establishment.
• Strong knowledge of culinary arts, wine, spirits, and current industry trends.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, and P&L analysis.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is advantageous.
