Placements24 in South Africa is seeking an Area Sales Executive to manage and grow sales in Mahikeng, North West. You will build retailer and distributor relationships and drive product sales across a defined territory.

The role requires matric, 2–4 years FMCG sales experience, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll report on sales activities, analyze market trends, and benefit from a competitive base salary with a strong commission structure.

Qualifications

• Matriculation certificate required; a tertiary qualification in Sales or Marketing is a strong advantage.
• 2–4 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG or related field.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets through effective strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of the SA retail environment and distribution channels.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are essential for territory coverage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for FMCG products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and distributors in the North West area.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share and customer base.
• Provide product knowledge, merchandising support, and promotional assistance to clients.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities within the territory.
• Regularly report on sales activities, customer feedback, and market conditions.
