Placements24 is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst in Centurion, Gauteng. The role focuses on data analytics to optimize procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management, ensuring timely delivery and cost control.

The position involves on-site analysis with remote collaboration, offering a hybrid working arrangement. The ideal candidate has a degree in a related field and 3+ years of FMCG supply chain experience, with strong Excel/SQL and BI tool skills, plus ERP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain analysis, operations, or related role, preferably FMCG.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced), SQL, and BI tools (Tableau/Power BI).
• Knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement.
• Develop and maintain supply chain models and reports to track KPIs such as lead times, inventory levels, and transportation costs.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing, Sales) and external partners to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize stock management and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new supply chain strategies, technologies, and best practices.
• Evaluate supplier performance and contribute to supplier selection and relationship management.
• Identify risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.
• Support the implementation and optimization of supply chain software and systems.
• Prepare presentations and reports for management, summarizing findings and recommending actionable insights.
