Placements24 is seeking a Supply Chain Optimization Manager to enhance efficiency across the logistics network in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The role supports a hybrid work model, balancing remote work with essential in-person collaboration in Gauteng, South Africa.

The ideal candidate will analyze and re-engineer supply chain processes, implement innovative solutions, and drive cost reductions while ensuring timely product delivery. Strong leadership and vendor management are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Logistics, Operations Management or related field.
• Minimum 6 years experience in supply chain management with optimization focus in FMCG.
• Proven inventory, demand planning and transportation logistics expertise.

Aufgaben

• Analyze current supply chain operations to identify inefficiencies and improvement areas in logistics, warehousing and distribution.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize inventory, reduce lead times and enhance on-time delivery.
• Negotiate with 3PLs to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
• Use advanced planning tools to improve demand forecasting accuracy and production scheduling.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing and sales to align activities.
• Monitor KPIs and create reports to track performance and trends.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals and drive continuous improvement.
• Implement best practices in SCM for compliance and sustainability.
