Placements24 is seeking a Senior Sales Analyst in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on delivering deep insights into sales performance, market trends, and customer behavior to guide strategic decisions and sales optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Business Admin, Statistics, Economics, Finance or related).
• 3–5 years in sales analysis, BI or related analytical role, preferably FMCG.
• Proven ability to collect, analyze and interpret large datasets with advanced methods.
• Proficient in Excel, SQL and data viz tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong FMCG market understanding and KPI proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with detail orientation.
• Capable of independent work and managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales data from multiple sources to identify trends and drivers.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and presentations for senior management.
• Conduct market analysis including competitor performance and market share.
• Forecast sales volumes and advise on targets and strategies.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to support data-driven campaigns.
• Evaluate promotions and launches with post-performance analysis.
• Improve data collection, analysis and reporting processes.
• Assist in managing sales databases and ensure data integrity.
• Stay updated on best practices and new analytics tools.
• Present findings clearly to executives and stakeholders.
