Job summary

EdUpStairs is seeking a Fleet Coordinator to oversee daily fleet operations and maintenance at our King William’s Town centre. You will monitor vehicle usage, process trip authorisations, and ensure timely invoice processing and record maintenance.

The role requires a Matric or NCV Level 4 with a 3-year Diploma (NQF 6) and 2–3 years’ TVET fleet experience, plus a valid driver’s license. Strong planning and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Matric or NCV Level 4 with a recognised three-year Diploma (NQF 6) and 2–3 years’ TVET Fleet experience.
• Knowledge of fleet/transport management, Public Service Act, PFMA, Treasury regs and budgeting.
• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, planning and organisational skills; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day fleet vehicle operations and maintenance.
• Monitor kilometres before/after trips and monthly logbook closure.
• Authorise trip itineraries and driver authorisations.
• Receive and certify invoices for monthly payments.
• Maintain records of licenses, authorisations and fines; ensure vehicle service/maintenance.
• Redirect traffic fines and conduct vehicle pre/post inspections.
• Conduct quarterly inspections of subsidised vehicles and process new applications.
• Ensure compliance with transport policies and procedures.
