Job summary

Tiger Brands in Randfontein is seeking a Fleet Coordinator to oversee day-to-day fleet operations, ensure vehicle availability, compliance and cost control. You will coordinate driver schedules, maintenance and record-keeping, while supporting operational continuity across delivery networks.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years logistics and distribution experience in FMCG, holds a valid driver's license, and is willing to work long hours, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• National Diploma/3 year Degree in Supply Chain will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3-5 years logistics experience in a FMCG environment.
• Minimum 3-5 years in distribution experience.
• Valid drivers’ license.
• Prepared to work long hours when required, weekends and public holidays.
• Prepared to work in informal and formal trade sector.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily fleet activities to ensure vehicles are available and assigned according to operational requirements.
• Monitor vehicle utilization and optimize fleet deployment.
• Schedule vehicle allocations based on business priorities.
• Track vehicle movements and maintain accurate fleet records.
• Ensure effective communication between drivers, operations teams, maintenance providers, and management.
• Respond to operational issues and vehicle breakdowns promptly.
• Schedule preventative maintenance and servicing for all fleet vehicles.
• Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure services are completed on time.
• Coordinate repairs and mechanical inspections.
• Maintain service and repair records.
• Ensure all vehicles comply with roadworthiness and safety standards.
• Monitor vehicle licenses, registration renewals, permits, and certifications.
• Coordinate annual inspections and compliance audits.
