Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a Fleet Coordinator to lead daily fleet operations in a fast-moving consumer goods environment. You will coordinate vehicle allocations, monitor utilization, schedule maintenance, and ensure compliance with roadworthy standards while driving cost-saving initiatives.

You will bring 5 years of leadership in logistics plus a National Diploma in Logistics or equivalent, and you will collaborate across drivers, operations, and management to deliver reliable, safe transport

Qualifications

• 5 years' leadership experience in logistics within an FMCG environment.
• National Diploma in Logistics or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily fleet activities to ensure vehicles are available and assigned according to requirements.
• Monitor vehicle utilization and optimize fleet deployment.
• Schedule vehicle allocations based on business priorities.
• Track vehicle movements and maintain fleet records.
• Ensure communication between drivers, operations, maintenance providers and management.
• Respond to operational issues and vehicle breakdowns promptly.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and servicing for all fleet vehicles.
• Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure services are completed on time.
• Coordinate repairs and inspections and maintain records.
• Ensure roadworthiness and safety standards compliance.
• Monitor licenses, registrations, permits and certifications.
• Coordinate annual inspections and audits.
• Conduct employee evaluations and provide development points bi-annually.
• Manage career and succession plans and discipline.
• Oversee policy compliance and consequence management.
• Training and development and cost-saving initiatives.
