Placements24 is seeking a Restaurant Manager for a premier Upington venue in the Northern Cape. You will lead daily operations, manage the front-of-house team, and uphold the standards of a fine dining experience.

The role requires a minimum of four years in restaurant management, with a passion for hospitality, wine and spirits knowledge, and hands-on leadership in a high-end setting. Upington location, evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in fine dining.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing front-of-house team.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and food & beverage operations.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and P&L oversight.
• Proficiency with restaurant management software and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to maintain high standards and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor front-of-house staff including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
• Develop service standards to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and cost control for F&B supplies.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation compliance.
• Schedule staff and manage labor costs effectively.
• Respond to guest inquiries and reservations promptly.
• Collaborate with Head Chef on menu development and promotions.
• Monitor revenue, costs, and overall profitability.
• Maintain dining area and bar ambiance and cleanliness.
