Job summary

Old Mutual South Africa in Gauteng-Boksburg invites a seasoned Sales Manager to lead an existing hybrid team of 15–20 Financial Advisers. The role focuses on profitability, resource management, and risk control within the area’s business plan, contributing to MANCO leadership.

You will drive relationship-building with key accounts, configure complex product offerings, and oversee performance and operations across the region. Strong FAIS compliance and proven sales leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent.
• Must be FAIS compliant with a certificate in Financial Planning or an equivalent qualification with 120 relevant credits at a minimum NQF level 5.
• Must have passed RE 5 level 1.
• Previous experience as a sales Manager is preferable.
• Be accredited on all products that PFA distributes as well as accreditation on other optional products.
• Preferably 24 month’s service as a Financial Advisor.
• Have strong administrative capabilities.
• Should be comfortable in applying the sales process.
• Should be able to apply the six‑step financial process.
• Having difficult conversations and being assertive.
• Coaching of others

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the sales management function in Gauteng-Boksburg region.
• Develop and implement relationship management plans for complex customer accounts to engage decision-makers.
• Configure and present complex product-and-services solutions within standard terms.
• Build personal network and represent the organization at sector events.
• Manage performance of a large hybrid team and drive accountability.
• Oversee operational area and ensure delivery of business processes.
• Collaborate across departments to improve internal and external relationships.
• Manage key accounts including mid-tier and multinational clients.
• Develop and implement relationship plans for potential key accounts.
• Assist in budgeting and cost control within the area.
• Develop capabilities through formal development frameworks and coaching.
