Introduction:

The client is looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Financial Administrator to join their finance team. The role plays an integral part in supporting the day-to-day activities of the finance and execution team, ensuring that the client’s finance function remains organised, efficient and well controlled. The position will support key financial processes, maintain accurate information and ensure that internal controls are consistently followed.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Financial Administrator is to support the effective administration of the client’s finance and execution functions. The role will oversee key financial administration and control processes, maintain accurate customer, supplier and master data, support reconciliations and payments, and ensure that appropriate financial and operational controls are maintained.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education (essential):

• BCom Accounting or minimum Diploma in Accounting.

Minimum applicable experience (years):

• 2–3 years’ work experience.
• Experience within the Grain industry will be advantageous.

Required nature of experience:

• Financial administration and finance-related activities
• Financial control and internal control processes

Financial Reconciliations

Master Data and Systems Management

• Maintain and act as custodian of all relevant master data.
• Ensure master data is consistently captured and maintained.
• Maintain accurate information across the trading system.
• Maintain accurate information across the logistical, accounting and banking systems.
• Ensure appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.

Risk Management and Systems Proficiency

• Support effective risk management processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant internal controls.
• Utilise accounting / ERP software packages effectively.Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Utilise AI tools, including Claude, effectively in the role.
