University of the Free State invites applications for a Senior Assistant Officer (post level 12) in the Finance - Student Finance unit. The role focuses on financial administration, processing journals and refunds, maintaining confidential student accounts and supporting scanning of documents.

The position requires Grade 12, at least one year of related experience, and proficiency with PeopleSoft, Word and Excel.

Formación

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
• Minimum of one year in financial administration, student accounts, bookkeeping or credit management
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Word and Excel is advantageous

Responsabilidades

• Document and maintain supporting information for financial transactions
• Maintain financial files and records and prepare journals and reports
• Process refunds and invoices and manage bursary/ sponsor documents
• Capture data on PeopleSoft and ensure correct refunds and third-party payments
• Provide client services and respond to enquiries from stakeholders
