Communicate Finance is seeking a seasoned Head of Finance to lead the finance function within a growing South African business. You will own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial planning, while shaping the commercial agenda with the leadership team.

Responsibilities include monthly management accounts, board reporting, financial strategy, and ensuring statutory compliance. The role offers a collaborative, growth-focused environment with long-term development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial acumen with ability to influence decisions.
• Excellent financial reporting, forecasting and analytical skills.
• Proven experience leading finance teams and the full finance function.
• Experience in a growing or entrepreneurial business is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance team to foster high performance.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and planning.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts and board reports.
• Drive financial strategy and provide commercial insights to support growth.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage controls, risk and governance processes.
• Oversee annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for efficiencies.
• Partner with stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
