Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking a seasoned finance leader to head the full finance function in South Africa. The role focuses on steering budgeting, forecasting and business planning while ensuring robust financial reporting and compliance with IFRS and tax regulations.

You will manage cash flow and working capital, oversee audits, and engage with external stakeholders. A CA(SA) designation with post-articles experience is required, along with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA(SA) with full ICA membership.
• Minimum 5 years' financial management experience.
• Proven leadership within a finance environment.
• Strong commercial and strategic finance capability.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience overseeing audits and liaising with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full finance function and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Drive strategic budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
• Prepare and review executive and board-level financial reports.
• Manage cash flow, treasury and working capital initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations and internal controls.
• Oversee annual audits and liaise with external stakeholders.
• Review and approve financial statements and statutory submissions.
• Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Lead and develop high-performing finance teams.
• Partner with executive management to drive strategic decision-making.
