Job summary

MH Solutions in Johannesburg is seeking a Finance Director to drive financial strategy and governance as a key member of the Executive Management Team. You will oversee financial stewardship, risk management and commercial performance in a multinational distribution environment.

The role requires CA(SA) with honours, strong P&L ownership and extensive leadership experience, plus expertise in IFRS, GAAP and statutory reporting.

The purpose of the role:

The Finance Director is a key member of the Executive Management Team (EMT) and strategic partner to the Managing Director, accountable for the full financial stewardship, governance, risk management and commercial performance.

Requirements:

• BCom Accounting Honours or equivalent professional accounting qualification
• Chartered Accountant CA(SA) (essential)
• 5+ years progressive financial leadership experience
• Proven P&L ownership and executive-level business partnering
• Proven strong report writing/ development capability
• Experience within a multinational, distribution or industrial environment preferred
• Strong IFRS, SA GAAP, UK GAAP, tax and governance expertise
• Deep experience in statutory reporting, audits, compliance and risk management
• Track record in cost optimisation, working capital improvement and operational excellence
• Experience leading Finance, Corporate Services and Compliance functions
• Experience collaborating with or overseeing IT, Data and Business Intelligence teams
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, SAP4 Hana, Business Objects and BI tool proficiency advantageous
• Strong systems and process design capability
• Excellent numerical, analytical and reporting expertise
• Strong negotiation, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to operate effectively under pressure and within global structures
