Qualifications

• First-year BCom in Accounting beneficial; relevant experience prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily cash-ups across card, EFT and other payment channels.
• Maintain and balance patient accounts, issue statements and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Manage debtor accounts and prepare age-analysis reports.
• Investigate discrepancies and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
• Assist the CFO with reporting, financial controls, system clean-ups and other finance projects.
• Handle confidential financial and patient information with discretion in line with POPIA.

Finance Assistant job vacancy in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Are you an experienced finance professional who enjoys working with numbers, solving discrepancies and keeping financial records accurate and up to date?

An established medical services business in Sandton is looking for a Finance Assistant specialising in debtors and reconciliations to join its team.

Working closely with the CFO, you’ll take responsibility for daily reconciliations, patient accounts and outstanding payments, while gaining valuable exposure to financial reporting, internal controls and finance-related projects.

This role would suit someone who is hands‑on, highly organised and takes pride in getting the details right.

Salary: R18,000 to R25,000 gross per month.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 5 years’ experience in debtors, accounts administration, reconciliations or a similar finance role.
• Matric with Accounting.
• Strong reconciliation skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Zoho Books or a similar accounting system would be advantageous.
• A first-year BCom in Accounting or an equivalent qualification would be beneficial, but relevant experience is the priority.
• A stable employment history and contactable references.
