Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Field Telecom Technician to service the Rustenburg area. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment at customer sites and company locations, acting as the frontline representative of our client.

You will troubleshoot on-site, work independently in diverse field environments across the North West province, and maintain accurate service records while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Field Technician or similar telecom role.
• Strong knowledge of network connectivity and cable installation.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and handheld devices.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record for travel in Rustenburg area.

Responsibilities

• Install, activate, and maintain customer premises equipment (CPE), including modems, routers, and set-top boxes.
• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot issues related to internet, voice, and television services.
• Respond to service calls and resolve technical problems efficiently and effectively in the field.
• Educate customers on service usage, features, and basic troubleshooting steps.
• Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and inventory using mobile device applications.
