Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a seasoned on-site technical support specialist to enhance customer operations and capabilities in a mining environment. The role focuses on providing expert technical assistance, coaching field technicians, and contributing to product improvements through direct feedback.

With a strong background in rock drills and trackless mining, you will perform field demonstrations, support warranty processing, and collaborate with Product Support Managers.

Qualifications

• Provide technical support to end users, operators and service personnel in complex issues.
• Coaching and training with Technicians and Specialists
• Provide feedback to Product Support Managers for improvements
• Support sales and business development with technical input
• Compile data to process warranty claims and machine improvements
• Perform on-site technical assistance to resolve issues
• Demonstrate equipment safely on-site
• Engage in relationship marketing and market services

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end users, operators and service personnel in cases of complex technical issues.
• Coaching and training with Technicians and Specialists
• Provide feedback to Product Support Managers to enable improvements to the equipment or its operations.
• Provide technical expertise into the sales and business development offering to customers
• Provide assistance in compiling accurate data to process warranty claims and engineering machine improvements.
• Review spare parts recommendations with Parts BLM organization
• Provide information on accuracy of Machine Life Operating Costs (MLOC) to PSM
• Investigate warranty claims proactively and reactively to enhance customer satisfaction and provide feedback to the Warranty Analyst.
• Assist PSM with field-testing and trials of new products and updated components to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Perform equipment demonstrations in a safe manner.
• Provide on-site technical assistance to resolve issues
