You will work on refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, washing machines, and specialized units, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, reading manuals and schematics, and using diagnostic tools and hand tools.

• Proven experience as Field Service Technician focused on appliance installation and repair.
• Skilled in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Understanding of plumbing and electrical wiring for appliance installation.
• Able to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Proficient with diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
• Technical qualification or trade certification advantageous.
• Physically fit to lift and maneuver heavy appliances.
• Willingness to travel within Pietermaritzburg region and beyond.

• Adhere to all health and safety protocols on job sites and within the workshop environment.
• Identify opportunities for upselling services or additional products based on client needs and system assessments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, with a strong focus on appliance installation and repair.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Excellent understanding of plumbing and electrical wiring related to appliance installation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non‑technical individuals.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
• A relevant technical qualification or trade certification in electrical, mechanical, or appliance repair is highly advantageous.
• Must be physically fit and able to handle the demands of lifting and maneuvering heavy appliances.
