Job summary

Lectra Gruppe seeks a Field Service Engineer to ensure Lectra services are delivered to customers with high quality and professionalism. The role covers preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, system installation, and customer training, working closely with expertise centers.

The position is field-based in Durban, South Africa. The candidate should have a strong technical background in electro-mechanical systems, read electrical/pneumatic schematics, and be fluent in English and French.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electronics/electrical/mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in field engineering servicing electro-mechanical devices.
• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics preferred.
• Proficient in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Promote preventive maintenance and perform audits, replacements, and service kits.
• Carry out installation, audits, and maintenance of equipment in the field.
• Train customers on CAM application and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment including software install, parts replacement, and remote reporting.
• Collaborate with Expertise Center on field activities and report in Salesforce.
• Maintain customer relationships and ensure value of Lectra services.
